HOW MUCH SHOULD THE TRACKS BE TENSIONED?

To keep your tracks or tyres from breaking or tearing more than normal, it is important that the tracks are correctly mounted and tensioned.

You can make sure that the tracks are correctly tensioned by checking how much your tracks hang down between the tyres. You examine this by placing the machine on a flat surface, and then measuring the distance from the top of one of the tyres, down to the point between the tyres where the track hangs down the most. With your machine placed in this position, the track should hang down max 50 mm, and if the distance is longer than that, it means you should tension the track further.
